Strengthen the Cooperation in Education Sector, JAPFA Built Research Farm (Closed House) in Gadjah Mada University
Yogyakarta, 23 April 2019 – PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA) strengthen its relationship with Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in a form of education and research support, marked by inaugurated of Closed House Research Farm dedicated for UGM student (23/04). This cooperation that has exist for more than a decade is the initiation JAPFA aims to develop knowledge and support academic innovation in Animal Husbandry sector.
Since 2003, JAPFA has built Teaching farm that facilitates students of UGM to learn and contributing a field research in poultry industry. JAPFA didn’t stop and continued with the development of Laboratorium Pasca Panen (Slaughter House) in 2017 with the capacity of 20.000 chicks each day. This year, JAPFA inaugurating Research Farm for academic purposes.
Built in Animal Husbandry Faculty UGM, this facilities dedicated for under-graduates, graduates, and master degree to apply poultry based research especially in studies of; technology, human resources, nutrition, feedlot, vaccine, and the business itself.
On the same day as the inauguration, JAPFA held general lecture for UGM’students to share many information related with how to increase the efficiency and productivity of broiler through research and development, taught by Dr. Ir. Ferry Poernama M. Cs. who represent JAPFA as Head of Technology and Nutrition. Other than that, R. Syaprudin Spt., National Poultry Environment JAPFA, also present to comprehensively explain the management of Closed House farm.
