Jakarta, 29 April 2021 - PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk today (29/04) won the 2021 Corporate Emissions Award for Transparency in Calculation of Corporate Emissions in the Gold Category of Non-Banking Issuers. The award is intended for companies that have contributed to reducing national emissions and the transparency of their calculations was initiated by Majalah Investor in collaboration with PT Bumi Global Karbon and Berita Satu Media Holdings.

Rachmat Indrajaya, Director of Corporate Affairs JAPFA in his speech said , "JAPFA always committed to continuing to uphold the principle of sustainability in carrying out the company's operational activities," Rachmat further stated that in every operation, the company is guided by the provisions contained in environmental documents, namely AMDAL or UKL-UPL (Environmental Management Efforts and Environmental Monitoring Efforts) applicable.

Regarding emission control, Rachmat continued, JAPFA is committed to reducing the negative impact of conventional emissions and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by complying with Presidential Regulation No. 71 year 2011 for national greenhouse inventory recording.

The assessment criteria are based on the company's 2019 sustainability report with the main criteria being transparency in calculating company emission scope 1 and scope 2. In its Sustainability Report, JAPFA reports that all the operational activities have made efforts to improve energy efficiency in all JAPFA units spread throughout Indonesia.
