Held The Clean and Healthy Schools Training, JAPFA Opens JAPFA for Kids 2020 Series in Purwakarta
Purwakarta, February 12, 2020- Student achievement can be influenced by many factors, one of which is the environment in which he is studying. In addition to the environment, student health also has a role in a child's ability to absorb learning. The importance of creating a clean and healthy school is echoed again by PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA) in 2020. Through its subsidiaries, PT Suri Tani Pemuka (STP), JAPFA intensively continues its commitment to create Clean and Healthy Indonesian Children by holding JAPFA for Kids training in Purwakarta. Located at SDN 02 Cisereuh, Purwakarta Regency, West Java (12/02), the activity involved 1944 students and 110 teachers to move towards change, this training opened the JAPFA for Kids series in 2020.
“The presence of JAPFA for Kids in Purwakarta departs from our commitment to drive change towards the creation of a comfortable school for teaching and learning activities," said Aminto Nugroho, Head of Purwakarta STP Unit. According to Aminto, School convenience have a big influence on student achievement. "Besides being pleasing to the eye, the habits that we teach to implement balanced nutrition and washing hands with soap can maintain a child's immunity and support them to be able to actively engage in school activities," Aminto continued.
Seven schools in Purwakarta participated in this year's JAPFA for Kids program, namely; SDN Cibatu, SDN 1 Cilandak, SDN 2 Cilandak, SDN 3 Cilandak, SDN Karyamekar, SDN 2 Cisereuh and SDN 8 Cisereuh. Seventh participants schools send teachers and student representatives to get the intensive training on Sharing Sessions School Management System for teachers, Healthy Child Ambassadors, Healthy Environment Ambassadors, and Healthy Food Ambassadors for students.
According to R. Artsanti Alif, Head of Social Investment Department JAPFA, creating a new habit at school is not easy. It takes a good synergy from the school authorities to jointly push for changes. "We touched in the school system by engaging students as agents of change in their schools and teachers as a committee that oversees the Health Ambassadors. It is solely to raise awareness and to spread the spirit of change for all members of their respective schools, "cunt Artsanti.
This is not the first year JAPFA for Kids program implemented in Purwakarta. In 2012, the JAPFA for Kids program has reached Purwakarta, but with a different approach, , which was only limited to the Training of Healthy Ambassadors and Culture Festival as a closing. "Since it was initiated in 2008, JAPFA for Kids program continues to be evaluated and strengthened in every year to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the program," said Artsanti. As from 2017, the program not only provides training only, but it will continue with an intensive assistance to create a healthy and comfortable assisted school.
This mentoring program, continued Artsanti, an event to provide opportunity for teachers and students apply the training that has previously been obtained. During the 9 months of assistance, student and each school community will be taught to apply clean and healthy school assisted by two facilitators as an extension of the Social Investment Department until the mentoring period is over. "We are back in Purwakarta to bring many changes. Hopefully, the seventh JAPFA for Kids assisted schools will be able to make a change into a clean and healthy school and create an outstanding achievers and nutritious students," concludes Artsanti.
