JAPFA is looking for an IT Security Operation Specialist to protect its digital assets and sensitive information. You will be part of a team that is responsible for monitoring, managing, and enhancing the security posture of Japfa’s IT infrastructure.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain IT security standard operating procedures and other technical documentation.
  • Responsible for assisting in the coordination effort of security activities such as security patch remediation, configuration review, and vulnerability management process.
  • Monitor for potential compromise, intrusion, significant event, or threat to the security posture and security baseline.
  • Responsible for incident handling, coordinating with other teams to contain and mitigate security threats.
  • Use various security tools to perform security and vulnerability assessments.
  • Identify potential threats and develop recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Hands-on deployment of new technologies and security capabilities.
  • Involve in educating employees and other stakeholders about security best practices and threats to help prevent security breaches.
  • Maintain knowledge of current security trends and clearly communicate with other team members.
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology discipline or equivalent IT experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in information security operations.
  • Relevant IT security certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Good technical knowledge in multiple operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking technology, and network security.
  • Having experience in penetration testing or vulnerability assessment tasks will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of intrusion detection and log analysis.
  • Familiar with SIEM tools.
  • Knowledge of IT security policies, practices, designs, and procedures.
  • Ability to interact with technical and management staff to develop and problem-solve technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good integrity and excellent teamwork.
