Strengthen Its existence in Poultry Sector, JAPFA Inaugurate Hatchery factory and Teaching Farm in UNSYIAH

October 8th 2019 - Expanding its business in poultry sector, JAPFA through its subsidiary PT Indojaya Agrinusa (Indojaya) entered Aceh market by inaugurate a unit of Hatchery factory and Teaching Farm in Aceh Besar.

Built on 6.2 hectares land in Seulimeum, this Hatchery establishment goals is none other than to filled domestic market’s demand that continues to increase throughout the years in Aceh and surrounding area. As manifestation of JAPFA’s commitment to support local farmers in providing high quality DOC and also to support food self-sufficiency, especially in providing animal protein for Indonesia.

Inaugurated by Aceh Besar Regent, Ir. H. Mawardi Ali, Hatchery factory also provide job opportunities for local people in Seulimeum where 94% of employee in the factory is the local residents where the factory operated.

On the same day of Hatchery inauguration, JAPFA sign the inauguration of Teaching Farm, cooperated with Syiah Kuala University (UNSYIAH). The research facility was built in Ie Su’um Village and planned to Chick In on October 2019. This collaboration is one of JAPFA commitment in Education sector.

There are 3 kind of stalls in Teaching Farm; Commercial Farm (Closed House) with capacity of 10.000 chicks, Staged Commercial Farm (Open House) with capacity 5.500, and Commercial Farm (Open House Postal) with 4.500 chicken capacity. Each stall is equipped with supporting facility such as feedlot, water container for chicken, blower, and heater for chicken (Gasolek).

The collaboration between JAPFA – UNSYIAH was marked by the signing of Memorandum of Understanding in September 2018. On the same day, JAPFA Foundation gave scholarship for the outstanding student from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry UNSYIAH and also provide opportunities for students to undergo field studies at JAPFA Commercial Farm.
