Jakarta, Oct 10th 2021 - PT Ciomas Adisatwa (Ciomas), a subsidiary of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA) has carried out export poultry products this year. Starting the 4th quarter of 2021, Ciomas has succeeded in carrying out the first export of processed chicken products to Papua New Guinea (PNG), which is a new market for JAPFA. The delivery of processed chicken products to this new market is JAPFA's effort to increase exports in line with the government's program to restore the national economy.

Although the economic conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic have not fully recovered, JAPFA remains committed to continuing to maintain the food supply chain. Throughout 2021, JAPFA continues to try to open up opportunities for international market share as an effort to develop business and is also a form of JAPFA's support for the government in the GRATIEKS program.

Tommy Kuntjoro, Head of Division PT Ciomas Adisatwa said, "Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit Indonesia, JAPFA has never stopped exporting poultry products, even JAPFA continues to try to open up new export opportunities, such as the first export of processed chicken products to PNG.”

JAPFA continues to strive to realize the company's commitment to providing quality and affordable animal protein intake and its supporting products. JAPFA also believes that the quality of our products is able to compete in the international market, as proven by the fact that it has obtained various international certifications, such as having an Avian Influenza (AI) free compartment certificate, a Veterinary Control Number (NKV) certificate, halal product certificate, Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000, and also ISO 9001:2015. Of course, in the midst of the current pandemic situation, the production process is also adjusted by following all health protocols and government recommendations to break the chain of spreading COVID-19.

Until the 4th quarter of 2021, the export value of JAPFA's poultry products is estimated to reach 1.4 billion Rupiah, of which the exported products consist of processed chicken products such as like sausages, nuggets, scallops, meatballs, corned beef, seasoned chicken, and chicken carcasses. The demand for these products came from Timor Leste, which continuously ordered JAPFA products, and also PNG, which had just formed a partnership with JAPFA.

"We will always strive to develop our business in order to meet domestic and foreign market demands. We are optimistic with the quality of our products, in the future we can establish cooperation with other countries,” concluded Tommy.
