PT Intan Kenkomayo Indonesia, National Egg Processed Producers Ready to Increase Exports
Jakarta, Oct 15th 2021 – As a company that provides food based on animal protein, PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA) strives to be able to continue to develop a series of products, one of which is through PT Intan Kenkomayo Indonesia (IKI). Founded in 2013, IKI is a joint venture between PT So Good Food, a subsidiary of JAPFA, and KENKO Mayonnaise Co., Ltd, a Japanese company, which focuses on the production and sales of pasteurized liquid eggs, mayonnaise, salad dressing, and products made from other egg base.

Since its inception in 2013, IKI launched a consumer brand called “Omayo” to cater the growing domestic and foreign markets. In addition, currently in Indonesia, pasteurized liquid egg products are in great demand by cake and bread manufacturers as well as HORECA (Hotel, Restaurants, & Catering services), because they can increase production efficiency and are more hygienic.
With its technological facilities and resources, IKI continues to develop its products until now it has succeeded in reaching retail markets (supermarkets, traditional markets), hotels, restaurants, catering, and business to business (B2B).
Eddy Sukianto, General Manager of IKI, added, “IKI also offers a wide range of services, ranging from innovative preparations to suit specific dishes or needs, supplying ingredients to customers, even providing tailor-made products (Personal Brand/PB) which are exclusively developed by our research and development team.”
Currently, IKI has a production capacity of 1,200 tons/year of Liquid Egg, 2,000 tons of mayonnaise/year, and 3,000 tons of Sauce/year. With this capacity, every year IKI absorbs national egg shell production of around 1,750 tons. IKI has also obtained Halal Certificate from MUI and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) from British Retail Consortium (BRC issued 8). In fact, since 2014, IKI has succeeded in exporting to Japan, the United States and Singapore.
