Riau, 13 July 2020 – PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA) through its subsidiary PT Indojaya Agrinusa (Indojaya) participated in the Riau Police’s Gerakan Jaga Kampung Program, Kampung Tangguh Nusantara. The program was launched as an effort to improve the economy and regional food security amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Anwar Tandiono (Acai), Head of Feed Operations Medan and Padang Unit PT Indojaya Agrinusa said, "JAPFA fully supports the Kampung Tangguh Nusantara program initiated by the Riau Regional Police. This collaboration between JAPFA and Polda is one of the manifestations of JAPFA's commitment to collaborate with the government in supporting national food security. "

On that occasion, Acai read JAPFA's statement letter on the willingness to cooperate in the cultivation of corn plants, where JAPFA will buy corn yields in accordance with company specifications and current market prices. The statement will be followed up with the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

"We hope with the Riau Police’s Gerakan Jaga Kampung Program, Kampung Tangguh Nusantara can provide broad benefits, especially for the community to be independent in developing in various sectors, especially in agriculture, because currently Indonesian agriculture is very advanced and modern with various technologies used," Acai said.

This is not the first time JAPFA has cooperated with the government in relation to harvesting of government-managed corn crops. "JAPFA will continue to carry out its commitment to contribute and collaborate with all stakeholders in order to support a better Indonesia," concluded Acai.
