JAPFA Fully Operated at KIM 4
Medan, November 19th, 2019 - The completion of JAPFA's Aquafeed unit through its subsidiary, PT Indojaya Agrinusa (Indojaya), marked that JAPFA's business has been fully operating in Modern Industrial Estates, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.
After in July completing the construction of the Animal Feed Factory in the same area, now Indojaya has also completed the Fish and Shrimp Feed Factory (Aquafeed), which has a production capacity of floating fish feed of 9,500 tons per month, fish feed sinks of 2,000 tons per month, and shrimp feed of 700 tons per month. Standing on 2 hectares of land, the feed will be distributed to the northern part of Sumatra.
Ardi Budiono, JAPFA's Head of Aquaculture Division (PT Suri Tani Pemuka), said "The inauguration of Indojaya's new factory reflects and confirms the company's commitment to continue to assist the government in realizing food independence, especially in helping to provide a quality supply of animal protein at affordable prices."
Indojaya's first Fish and Shrimp Feed Factory is located in the Bangun Sari Village area of Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency - North Sumatra. In operating its two factories, Indojaya also helps the government in improving the regional economy by absorbing human resources from the local community. It was proven by 80% of local human resources absorbed at the second factory in KIM 4.
