JAPFA Closed 2019 by Reaching Export Value of More than 500 Billion Rupiahs
Sidoarjo, December 8th, 2019 - Consistent in supporting government programs to achieve the national export target, PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA) proved by achieving an export value of more than 500 billion Rupiahs in 2019. As a national agribusiness company, various JAPFA products have been accepted in foreign markets, from poultry products to aquaculture products. The achievement was closed by JAPFA by sending poultry products to the Democratic Republic of East Timor (DRET) for the second time witnessed by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
Harwanto, Deputy COO of the JAPFA Poultry Division explained, "The collaboration between JAPFA and DRET has been established since mid-2019, and on this occasion the products sent were carcasses and processed chicken products, with the trademark Best Chicken and Tora Duo. By sending JAPFA products DRET for the second time, it means that JAPFA products can compete and be well received in the DRET market. "
Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia stated, “I have been with JAPFA for a long time, observing how JAPFA continues to grow and assisting the government in driving the acceleration of the Indonesian economy. Today is the proof that JAPFA, through its extraordinary efforts and achievements is able the pride of the nation, the pride of Sidoarjo, the pride of the Indonesian people that we must support in order to continue to be better in the future.”
JAPFA already met the requirements of international export eligibility standards, such as having a free Avian Influenza (AI) compartment certificate, NKV certificate, halal product certificate, and Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000. In its production activities, JAPFA always prioritizes quality product quality to be able to compete in the international market, but still taking into account in the customer’s purchasability.
"The export consignment is certainly can’t be done without the government's trust in JAPFA to continue to be committed in opening up opportunities in the global market and meeting growing international demand. The development of livestock products should be built through the cooperation of all parties to meet the needs of domestic and global markets,” said Harwanto.
Until 2019, JAPFA has exported to 20 countries, including the continents of America, Africa, Asia and Europe. Compared to 2018, JAPFA experienced export growth of 53%. Promotion efforts by participating in various international expos, such as in Malaysia, Qatar, and China were also done by JAPFA.
"We are optimistic that we are ready and able to expand into international markets, and will continue to make efforts to improve our quality and services to open up wider opportunities in the global market," concluded Harwanto.
