Face-to-face Learning Activities Begins, STP Distributes Masks and School Bags for Elementary School Students in Simalungun
Simalungun, Sept 14th 2021 - Today, PT Suri Tani Pemuka (STP) has distributed masks and school bags to 374 elementary school students in Simalungun Regency. This is a real form of the company's concern in controlling the transmission of COVID-19 and at the same time increasing the enthusiasm for student learning, especially with the start of Face-to-face Learning (PTM) which has been launched by the Government.
Imam Santoso, Deputy Head of Tilapia Operation PT STP said, "We understand that education is the rights of Indonesian children, as we know that during this pandemic the teaching and learning process cannot be optimal. On the other hand, we also understand that COVID-19 cases need to be suppressed. Therefore, by holding this PTM, we intend to support the government both in the education and health sectors through the distribution of masks and school bags for elementary students.”
Since mid-September, PTM activities have been carried out in several elementary schools in the Simalungun area. Of course, teaching and learning activities must continue to apply health protocols including using masks and social distancing during classes.
“We hope students can adopt a new habit by wearing these masks. With an attractive design, we hope that the children will be orderly and continue to wear masks during the lessons. Not only that, we provide school bags as an activities support so they are more enthusiastic in undergoing this PTM," said Imam.
The distribution of masks and school bags was carried out in 4 elementary schools, namely SDN Tambun Raya, SDN Huta Mula, SDN Parbalohan and SDN Saragihras. In addition, the activity was also accompanied by education and briefing on the importance of implementing health protocols when teaching and learning activities took place as well as education on how to wear masks correctly for elementary school students.
