This position will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of company-wide sustainability and environmental strategies, policies, and trainings. The job function includes providing direction on environmental regulatory compliance and maintaining company-wide environmental and sustainability key performance metrics to support continuous improvement toward sustainability goals. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure that sustainability goals are integrated into the business strategy and operations, promoting environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Policy Development: Create and update sustainability policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Program Management: Oversee sustainability projects, programs, and promote sustainability operations. Eg: energy efficiency, water conservation, including waste management.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and report on sustainability metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the alignment with Japfa Sustainability Target.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and community organizations, to promote sustainability initiatives.
  • Education and Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees about sustainability practices and their importance.
  • Reporting: Prepare sustainability reports, including annual sustainability reports and disclosures for external stakeholders.
  • Innovation: Identify and implement innovative solutions including Digitalization to improve sustainability performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Understand the basic concepts of conservation and sustainable development, including energy conservation, waste management, resource and water conservation, and environmental reporting metrics.
  • Understanding the GRI (Global Reporting Initiatives), TCFD, ISSB, CDP as a based for compliance in running and implementing sustainability across Division and Unit in Japfa Operations
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in from any major.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experiences in sustainability management.
  • Skills:
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    Proficiency in sustainability reporting tools and software.
    Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and standards.
    Proficiency in English both written and spoken.
  • Certifications: LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Sustainability Professional (CSP), or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership to lead a team and ability to influence peers to achieve organization goals.
  • Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail especially in responding the data requirement to external stakeholders.
  • Innovative: Creative thinking to develop and implement effective sustainability initiatives.
  • Passionate: Genuine interest in and commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  • Work Environment: Office environment with occasional travel to various sites for project management and stakeholder meetings.
