In September 2015, Japfa Comfeed’s CSR team visited West Sumatra to relieve local children who endured weeks of in-door confinement due to dense smoke from forest fires. With the help of our local operational unit, the team conducted health checks for over 1,200 primary school children in Lima Puluh Kota. Thousands of masks were distributed and we donated first aid kits to local schools as well as providing training to teachers and pupils on how to use the masks to prevent serious respiratory diseases.
